The NALA Solid Wood Adjustable Study Chair is designed to grow with the whole family, providing a comfortable seat from age 3+ right through to adulthood. Whether it’s homework, creative projects, working from home, or joining the family at the dining table, NALA adapts to suit every stage.

With adjustable seat height and depth, a movable backrest, and a 3-position footrest, it’s easy to create a supportive sitting position for different ages and heights. As little legs grow, the footrest can be adjusted and eventually removed for teen and adult use. An included 50 mm removable cushion adds extra comfort for longer periods of sitting.

Carefully handcrafted from 18 mm solid rubberwood and finished with a clear, non-toxic water-based varnish, NALA combines strength and stability with a clean, timeless design that looks at home in study spaces, bedrooms, dining rooms, and home offices.

Safety and comfort have been thoughtfully considered throughout the design. Crafted from FSC®-certified solid rubberwood, the NALA is designed to meet Australian & New Zealand safety standards.

The instructions to put the chair together were a little confusing however I got it up and absolutely love the quality of the wood and the feel of the smooth rounded corners it’s solid and strong, adjusting the chair is a great option for when my son gets older. My 5 year old son loves his chair. I actually want one for myself.

How much weight does the chair hold?

What is the NALA Adjustable Study Chair?

This is a height-adjustable wooden chair that suits a child from the early school years all the way to adult size. The seat, backrest and footrest all move, so one chair can serve as a study seat, a reading spot or a kids dining chair at the family table for years.

How does the seat adjust?

The seat sets to four heights, 43, 46, 49 and 52 cm, and also slides forward or back by up to 100 mm to change its depth. That means you can match the seat to your child's leg length now and reset it as they get taller.

Can the backrest and footrest be adjusted too?

Yes. The backrest moves up and down and tilts to support the lower back, while the footrest sets to three heights, 160, 190 and 220 mm, so feet stay supported instead of dangling. The footrest lifts out completely once an adult wants to use the chair.

Does it come with a cushion?

A soft 50 mm cushion is included and sits on the seat for added comfort during longer stretches of homework, reading or drawing. It lifts off easily if you want to wipe it down or use the bare wooden seat instead.
