Toddler dining chair of my sons dreams

The most loved item in our house this season by our toddler, he’s able to sit at island bench height with his older siblings during meal times. The saftey of the chair give us peace of mind, while being aesthetically pleasing to fit into our home, our toddler can be secure at height in this chair giving him plenty of support getting onto the chair independently and off when he has finished eating.
Such good quality and easy to assemble.

We love this chair!

We love this counter chair for our toddler who has outgrown a regular high chair. Now we get to truly eat at the table as a family. We wish it came with a strap but that’s not a deal breaker because our toddler prefer being able to move around in her chair. Also the step is a little high so we need to help her get onto the chair. Some might not prefer this, but it works perfectly for us. Overall this chair checks all the boxes for our need and we look forward to getting years of use out of it.

Perfect quality what I looked for

Well made easy assembly pleased with item

Well made easy assembly pleased with item.

Beautiful, Sturdy, Functional!

The title sums it up! Assembly took a bit of time (maybe 1 hour?), but it was not overly complicated. The chair itself is really attractive and a nice addition to our space - love that it is so adjustable and we can move it as he grows.
One thing just to take note of - it is slim, which means it is exactly right sized for toddlers. However, typical boosters do not fit in it, so just something to be mindful of if you were planning to transition a bit early when your little one may still benefit from some straps.

Overall, so pleased we went with this! I am glad we found myduckling!

Item is very nice but i feel price was a bit high.

Toddler High Chair

I looked everywhere to fina a chair that was high enough to put on my island. This was the only company that was selling this unique product. Excellent quality, the chair is so soft. My toddler loves it!

Safe, Stylish, Sturdy & Superb A+++

Exceptional quality, function and style! I purchased the My Duckling Toddler Island Chair for my 3 year old Granddaughter and it exceeded all expectations! It's a must have for families who prefer to eat together at the kitchen island, she is able to safely climb up and down herself due to the carefully thought-out design and craftsmanship. The design prevents tipping and there are foot holds and supports in all the right places.
The only negative is my obsession!! Today I received my Kaya Table and Chair Set, and I've got the Jala Deluxe Solid Wood Learning Tower, the JALA Deluxe Step Stool and all the Felix Swing Accessories in my cart ready to check out! :)

Frequently Asked Questions

See all FAQs

Is it safe for younger toddlers up at bench height?

A built-in 5-point harness holds younger children securely at the raised seat, and higher supportive sides help them feel snug and steady. Use the chair with an adult nearby at all times, and seat one child at a time.

What is the AURORA Toddler Island Chair?

Kitchen islands and breakfast bars sit too high for a toddler to reach.

This tall wooden chair lifts your little one to benchtop height so they can help stir the batter, eat breakfast and join the chatter. It works as a kids dining chair for raised counters rather than a standard table.

How tall is the chair and what surfaces does it suit?

It stands 1015 mm overall, which sets the seat high enough for kitchen islands, breakfast bars and taller benchtops. Eight seat heights run from 670 to 790 mm, so you can line your child up with the counter your family gathers around.

How does it adjust as my child gets bigger?

The seat sets to eight heights and the footrest to eight positions, and the seat depth shifts forward or back as well. As your child gets taller you simply move the seat and footrest up, keeping their back supported and their feet resting flat.

What is it made from and how do I clean it?

Solid rubberwood forms the frame, finished with a clear, non-toxic varnish, and the seat and back cushions are wrapped in soft vegan leather. The cushions wipe clean with a damp cloth in seconds, which helps after porridge, paint and sticky fingers.

Won't a tall chair tip over?

The frame is wide and well balanced to keep the chair steady at height, and it holds up to 50 kg. Setting it on a flat, level floor and checking the fittings from time to time keeps it stable through meals and messy craft sessions.

What age is the island chair suitable for?

It suits children from around 36 months+.

From there the eight seat heights let it carry on as your child gets taller, so a toddler who starts at breakfast-bar height keeps using the same chair well into the preschool years.

How is the island chair different from the dining chair?

The AURORA Island Chair features a taller frame designed for kitchen islands and breakfast bars, while the AURORA Toddler Dining Chair sits lower for use at a standard family dining table.

Both feature vegan leather cushions, adjustable seat height and depth, supportive sides, and an adjustable footrest, simply choose the chair that best matches the height of your table or bench.

What if I need a chair for an older child too?

What comes in the box?

You receive the AURORA Island Chair parts, a tool bag and assembly instructions included.

An adult assembles the chair at home, then adjusts the seat and footrest heights to comfortably suit your child.

We recommend checking and tightening the bolts periodically, particularly after adjusting the seat or footrest to a new height.
