Baby Walker
Are baby walkers safe for my baby?
Baby walkers can pose safety risks if not used properly. Always supervise your baby while they are in the walker, ensure that the walker is used on flat surfaces, and keep potentially hazardous objects out of reach.
Most experts recommend waiting until your baby can sit up unassisted, usually around 6 to 8 months old, before introducing a baby walker.
While baby walkers may provide entertainment and mobility, they do not necessarily help babies learn to walk sooner. In fact, some research suggests that walkers might even delay walking development in some babies.
Look for walkers with sturdy construction, appropriate height adjustments, safety features like wheel locks, and activity trays suited to your baby's developmental stage.
Regularly inspect the walker for any loose parts or damage, avoid using the walker near stairs or other hazards, and always use the provided safety features, such as wheel locks and harnesses.
